This 1964 Volkswagen Type 2 is a 21-window Sunroof Deluxe model that was reportedly sold new in Northern California and was purchased 16 years ago by the current owner, who is the seller’s brother-in-law. The bus received a three-year restoration by Europro of Costa Mesa, California that was completed in 2010 at a cost of over $61k. Work included a repaint in two-tone Sealing Wax Red and Beige Grey, as well as a new silver beige and basalt gray vinyl interior. Power is from a 1,688cc flat-four paired with a four-speed manual gearbox. This 21-window VW Bus is now offered by the seller on behalf of his brother-in-law with factory literature, restoration records, and a clean California title.

The exterior was stripped, coated in primer, and repainted in two-tone Sealing Wax Red (L53) and Beige Grey (L472) with Silver White (L82) bumpers. Photos presented in the gallery show the bus during various stages of the work, including areas where rust was repaired.

Silver white-painted 15″ steel wheels wear chrome Volkswagen hubcaps and 195/75 whitewall tires. A covered spare tire is located in the rear cargo area. Six-digit California black license plates are mounted front and rear.

The restored interior is trimmed in silver beige and basalt gray vinyl upholstery over black rubber flooring. A perforated silver beige headliner is fitted around a manually-operated sunroof with a light gray exterior canvas. Patterned side panels are equipped throughout, and German squareweave carpet is present in the rear cargo area. A CyberTracker GPS tracking system has been installed.

Restoration receipts totaling over $61k are included in the gallery, along with more than 150 photos documenting the work.
